In the vast majority of cases, the gain setting is to blame for static noise. If you turn OFF all USB midi on the DT hardware, and send notes from the piano roll, it still plays. 1.Lower the gain on your amp, audio interface, or mic to remove static. I must admit that the DT VST mystifies me as it has it’s own specialized communication which also handles midi. Only posting here to document it, in case I can debug it further and find a proper fix.
